The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it truly is alarmed about the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to website access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance place made for intervention activities a large influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources here to enable the servicing of all shoppers and boost usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
